Using Map component to select an address

Hi. I’m new to JetAdmin and struggling with the Map component. It seems the component is read-only to display lat/lng coordinates from a data source.

Is there a way to use the Map component to search for an address, get its coordinates, and write it back into a data source? I was able to do this with the Location component, but that involves dropping a pin to a precise location which is much more cumbersome and requires zoom-in/zoom-out and moving the map around.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Hi, unfortunately, no. The map component will display the data you connect to it. This is not a map like Google Maps. You can only filter it using the datasource collection fields. But you can apply for them here: Feature requests | Jet Admin - we’re regularly reviewing the requests and put the most popular/important ones on our roadmap. :slightly_smiling_face:
