Hi Jet Admin Community,
I’m currently exploring Jet Admin for building an internal tool for my organization, and I’ve been really impressed by its interface and the flexibility it offers. However, I’ve hit a few roadblocks when it comes to setting up slightly more advanced workflows — particularly ones that involve interacting with external APIs, handling conditional logic, and updating multiple data sources based on dynamic inputs.
Here’s a specific use case I’m working on:
I want to create a form within Jet Admin that collects user input, triggers a POST request to an external API (a third-party CRM system), and then updates an internal database (PostgreSQL in this case) based on the response. Ideally, I’d also like to show a success/failure notification to the end user depending on the API response status.
I’ve tried using the Action and Workflow features, but I’m not sure if I’m structuring things correctly — especially when it comes to handling API responses and passing data between steps.
So, my questions are:
- Is it possible to chain multiple actions based on conditions using Jet’s native tools?
- What’s the best way to extract and use values from an API response in subsequent steps?
- Are there any templates or community examples for multi-step workflows that involve both external APIs and internal data updates?
Any guidance, best practices, or real-world examples would be hugely appreciated. I’m eager to make the most out of Jet Admin and would love to hear how others have tackled similar use cases of tableau training in hyderabad.
Thanks in advance for your help!
